Northern Ministers Wrap Up Meetings in TBay

Northwestern Ontario was centre stage as Thunder Bay welcomed Canada’s Northern Development Ministers for two days of meetings.
One issue that was discussed Wednesday was tackling the North’s Infrastructure deficit and helping municipalities pay for the high costs of projects.
Aboriginal issues and mining were other topics of discussion.
An action plan was also drafted for the review of the respective Provincial Government’s.
Meantime, the Northern Development Minister for Newfoundland and Labrador stated that Canada’s North is the back-bone of our Country.
John Hickey says the resources of the North fuel the South and if the North fails, it will have a direct impact on Southern towns and cities.
