Northern MPs Squabble Over Forestry

Our Northern Ontario MPs are getting into a squabble in the House of Commons.

It started when Thunder Bay Rainy River MP John Rafferty asked the Federal Government to renew funding for the Forest Industry in their next budget.

Minister of Natural Resources Greg Rickford says they have provided funding in the past and they will continue.

Rickford then went on the attack saying Rafferty and the NDP will vote down their funding programs and the forest industry knows it.

Rafferty also noted that the NDP have launched a study of the forestry sector at the Natural Resources Committee. (File photo)
