Northern NDP MP Shocked With Defection

The NDP is facing the embarrassment of an MP defecting to another party.
Quebec MP Claude Patry is making the move to the Bloc Quebecois over the French language issue.
Thunder Bay-Rainy River MP John Rafferty says the NDP caucus gets along well and he believes Patry could have been lured by outside influences.
Rafferty says it may be nothing more than the Bloc poaching an MP.
Rafferty says the move was a bit of a shock to him.
