A northern Ontario MP has been named the new chair of the NDP’s national caucus.
Charlie Angus of Timmins-James Bay says their goal is to hold the new Liberal government accountable to the voters.
Angus says the NDP caucus will be focused, disciplined, energetic and positive.
He notes their party will play an important role to influence government decisions.
The NDP is holding a caucus retreat this week in Quebec in advance of the new session of Parliament, which is slated to start on January 25th.
