A new survey is painting a picture of poor housing conditions and health on many First Nations communities.
The First Nations Information Governance Centre says 78% of those questioned said their home is in need of repair.
That compares to 24.7% of the general Canadian population.
However, Operations Manager Gail McDonald remains optimistic and says hopefully the survey will lead to change over time.
The survey was distributed to 235 First Nations Communities.
In the end, the survey is given back to the first nation’s communities to see what they can do.
