Northern Ontario Party Believes It’s Gaining Momentum

The Northern Ontario Party believes its becoming a real threat in the next provincial election.

Leader Trevor Holliday says since the formation of the party, the big three political parties are finally listening to Northern concerns.

He points to a promise of enhanced transportation services across the region.

Holliday adds naysayers are now believes and northerners from all walks of life have come forward asking to represent the NOP in the 2018 election.

He says they are now in the midst of their vetting process to ensure they have the very best candidates representing their party.

Holliday says evidence shows that they are the proven champions of the north.

He points to Progressive Conservative Leader Patrick Brown, who has recently made statements about the NOP.

Holliday says not only does Brown understand the northern need for their party, he appears to be taking their platform ideas.

He notes that includes similar strategies on no more northern school closures, reinstating passenger rail service across the region, revamping the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and getting rid of the Carbon Tax.
