Nishnawbe Aski Nation is supporting one girl’s call to protect our water sources.
13-year-old youth advocate Autumn Peltier from the northern community of Wikwemikong First Nation voiced her concerns at the United Nations General Assembly.
Peltier told the UN she hopes her great-grandchildren will still have clean water, a message NAN officials are echoing.
A statement from NAN says they’re proud to support Peltier and other youth who are speaking about the importance of clean water.
Peltier made her speech to mark World Water Day.
