Northwest Community Legal Clinic Formed

Kenora and Rainy River Community Legal Clinic’s have merged to create the new Northwest Community Legal Clinic.
The Atikokan, Kenora and Fort Frances offices will be maintained, but staff at the 3-locations will share clients and manage workloads.
Spokesperson Nan Norman says there are a number of benefits.
The move will eliminate administrative duplication, while providing more direct representation.
She notes they will be able to hire additional caseworkers, so they can reach more people, more effectively.
