Fire crews from Northwestern Ontario are helping their Alberta counterparts fight blazes in that province.
The fire situation is severe in Alberta and the relatively quiet season in this region has allowed crews to work elsewhere.
A spokesperson for the Dryden MNR Fire Centre says at least 28 firefighters from Dryden, 49 from Red Lake and 42 from Sioux Lookout have been dispatched west along with various pieces of fire equipment.
