Northwest Legal Clinic Pleased With Increase

Good news for anyone needing legal aid.
The provincial government has announced it’s increasing the income eligibility requirements.
Trudy McCormick from the Northwest Legal Clinic says this is the first increase they’ve seen in years.
McCormick says income eligibility has now increased by 6%, with two further increases coming at a later date.
She notes they now will be able to assist more people.
The province estimates as many as one million more people will be eligible for legal aid service.
