NorWOSSA soccer season begins

Beaver Brae is hosting it’s annual soccer tournment this weekend.

Five teams from northwestern Ontario and five from Manitoba are in action.

Action began at 9:30 and the finals will take place tomorrow afternoon.

Action is taking place at the Tom Nabb Soccer Complex.

In the first week of the NorWOSSA season, the St. Thomas Aquinas boys and girls teams shut out both Rainy River and Red Lake.

On Wednesday, mixed results for Beaver Brae teams as the Broncos boys blanked Sioux North 2-0, but played to a 1-1 draw against Fort Frances.

In girls action, the Broncos topped the Warriors 2-1 and lost 2-0 to the Muskies.
