NOTO Reacts to Work Permit Changes

2005 work permits for American Lodge Owners may take up to 3 weeks to receive.
Under new Federal Government regulations, work permit applications will only be offered at the Foreign Workers Program Website or by phone.
Before, the forms were available at the border and Human Resources offices.
The Director of the Northern Ontario Tourist Outfitters Doug Reynolds says the new changes will likely cause headaches and hinder a number of U.S. Camp Owners.
Reynolds adds the changes will create more paperwork for those operating their businesses in Northern Ontario.
