A new off-campus Lakehead University nursing program is
slated to be offered in Kenora, Dryden, Fort Frances, and
Sioux Lookout this fall.
Director of Patient Care at the Lake of the Woods
Hospital Leslie Brown says the program is great for those
who don’t want to leave their community.

The University and communities are looking for funding
support from the Ministry of Health, and Education.
Brown adds in order to become a registered nurse,
students must now attend a University Bachelor of Science
Nursing Program.
