Lakehead University, Confederation College and the Dryden Regional
Health Centre are trying to secure funding for a new off-campus Nursing
program.
The course is scheduled to start-up in Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Kenora
and Fort Frances this fall.
Dryden Hospital Spokesperson Darlene Furlong says the area is in
dire need of nurses.

Furlong says the program is great for those who are interested in
the profession and don’t want to leave their community.
