Dryden Mayor Craig Nuttall isn’t wasting any time letting the city know he is running for re-election.
Nuttall announced he was running earlier this afternoon at the Holiday Inn Express, which he funded himself.
If he is re-elected he says he wants to tackle a 5 year road program, continue to get the debt down, make sure there are very little service cuts and get rid of the infrastructure loan for the telephone.
Since being mayor, Nuttall says he had accomplished the highway being paved, getting Duke Street funding and lowering the city’s debt.
Nuttall adds he is running because he loves the job and Dryden and he has great experience with the government.
The deadline to file nomination papers is September 12th at 2pm.
Councillor Shayne MacKinnon has announced that he also plans to run for mayor.
Voting day is October 27th.
