Northwestern Ontario’s MPPs are not welcomed in Russia.
MPPs Greg Rickford, Kevin Holland, Sol Mamakwa and Lise Vaugois are among Canadians identified in the latest list of Canadian prohibited from entering Russia.
Russia’s Foreign Ministry has released several lists in response to Canada’s support for Ukraine in its war with Russia.
The latest list includes 333 names.
All Ontario MPPs are banned, including Premier Doug Ford, his full cabinet and the leaders of the opposition parties.
Canada’s Governor General is also included.
There are also 42 former Canadian Olympians banned. Tessa Virtue, Hayley Wickenheiser and Clara Hughes are among them.
The athletes called on the Canadian Olympic Committee last month to support of ban of Russian athletes at next year’s Winter Olympics.
