NWHU-Blind-Low Vision Program #2

The Provincial Government is funding a new program for

Northwestern Ontario kids who have visual impairments.

The Northwestern Health Unit will be responsible for

running the new blind-low vision program.

Program Manager Donna Cutler says the program provides

parents with an early childhood vision consultant.

Another resource available for parents is the Family

Support Worker.

The support worker will help parents understand and cope

with their child’s diagnosis.
