NWHU Wants Higher Minimum Wage

The Northwestern Health Unit is calling on the
Provincial Government to provide a higher minimum wage.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Pete Sarsfield says the
rate needs to be higher than the previously suggested 10
dollars.

Sarsfield says every year they conduct a Nutritious Food
Basket Survey.

Sarsfield adds minimum wage effects residents access to
proper housing and social services.
