The Nuclear Waste Management Organization is back in Ignace to provide an update on its plans for an underground repository somewhere in Ontario.
An Open House is being held Wednesday at the Learn More Centre from 10 until 7, with a barbeque from 4 to 7 at the Town Plaza parking lot.
Officials will be on hand to talk about the work that’s already been done and help people gain a better understanding of the geology at the potential site.
The next drilling for core samples will likely take place later this year.
An update on values and principles that will help guide potential partnerships will also be provided.
The public will be able to ask questions.
