We are just a few days away from the 38th Annual Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
It’s being held Saturday in Thunder Bay and this week CKDR is featuring the Class of 2019.
Hall of Fame Executive Director Diane Imrie says one of the inductees is former NHL’er Bill Houlder.
“Incredible NHL player. Almost 900 games. Played in 876 of them. Was a great defensive player.
The product of Thunder Bay also recorded 59-goals and 191 assists with multiple teams.
Houlder started his career with the Washington Capitals and went on to play with the Buffalo Sabres, Anaheim, St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning, San Jose Sharks and Nashville Predators.
