OEB Reviewing Hydro One Rate Request With Meeting In Dryden

The Ontario Energy Board is looking to hear from Dryden residents on proposed Hydro One rate increases.

A public meeting is being held at the Royal Canadian Legion on June 27th.

The OEB is now reviewing an application from Hydro One to boost rates.

Officials say the meeting will provide customers with an opportunity to learn more and ask questions about the submission.

Any review takes about six to nine months to be completed.

Hydro One is calling for rate increases in each of the next five years totaling roughly $141.

Here are the proposed hikes requested by Hydro One and submitted to the OEB for consideration:

2018-an increase of $2.79 per month.

2019-an increase of $2.47 per month.

2020-an increase of $2.31 per month.

2021-an increase of $1.95 per month.

2022-an increase of $2.23 per month.
