A Dryden volunteer firefighter is being recognized for his quick actions on Thursday afternoon.
The off-duty worker was returning home from work in Ignace and came across a vehicle rolled over onto its roof in the ditch.
Jason Hatch found two occupants badly injured, and there was fuel leaking and smoke coming from the engine.
With the assistance of another person, Hatch removed both occupants and performed first aid until emergency crews arrived.
The occupants of the vehicle were taken to Dryden hospital with serious injuries.
