Talk about being in the right place at the right time.
An off-duty Dryden Police officer helped a local store manager yesterday afternoon.
The officer had heard a disturbance outside the store and learned that a youth had been stopped by the manager for shoplifting.
The youth began yelling and trying to punch the manager.
The officer arrested the youth and has been charged with theft under five thousand dollars.
