The 2006 OFSAA Boys Volleyball Championship has been deemed a major
success.
The tournament closed Saturday night with Eden High School of St.
Catharines capturing the gold medal.
The organizing committee says they have received nothing but positive
feedback with several teams stressing the tournament was the best they have
seen.
On the court the Dryden Eagles fell in Quarter-Final play to the
eventual Silver meadalist John McGregor Panthers in an amazing 3-set match.
Eagle Caleb Eshbach says they left everything on the court.
Meantime in Thunder Bay, the Dryden Eagle Senior Girls Basketball team
bowed to St. Ignatius in 2 games at the NWOSSA Championship.
Coach Jen koskie says she was proud of their effort and the silver
medal performance.
