It could be as early as October that OJ Simpson will be released from prison.
Simpson has served 9 years of a 33 year sentence for armed robbery and kidnapping.
The robbery took place in Las Vegas in 2007 and he has been serving his time in a Nevada prison.
A parole board unanimously voted to grant him parole after he was deemed to be a low risk to re-offend.
Simpson noted in the hearing that he takes full responsibility for what happened.
Simpson’s eldest daughter, Arnelle Simpson as well as Bruce Fromong a victim in the robbery both spoke to the board in favour of Simpson’s release.
He has asked to move to Florida to be closer to his family.
