Part of the old United Rentals building on Highway 17 collapsed Saturday afternoon.
It got hit by what is believed to be a microbust caused by the stormy weather.
Environment Canada hasn’t confirmed.
According to Dale Berrey, who was the only person in the building at the time, the back half blew off and the front dropped.
Berrey says the wind collapsed the building and Berrey he says debris was flying everywhere.
Berrey wasn’t injured but stresses it could have been a lot worse.
Acting Fire Cheif Ken Kurz says there was a gas leak, but fire crews and Union gas were able to shut it off.
