AGCO banning the use of celebrities in online gaming ads

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario is banning the use of athletes or celebrities in the marketing and advertising of on-line gaming.

The new restrictions come into effect at the end of February of next year.

AGCO says it updated it’s standards because the use of celebrities might appeal to minors.

The ban also applies to cartoon characters, entertainers, social media influencers and roles models.
