Ontario’s watchdog is focusing on Hydro One in his latest investigation.
Ombudsman Andre Marin says he’ll conduct an investigation into ongoing public complaints over Hydro’s billing and customer service.
Marin says the number of complaints to his office about hydro bills have nearly tripled in the past three years.
He notes Ontario residents are extremely upset and want answers.
Marin says he’s heard stories of huge and unexplained bills, multiple bills or bills with no details.
He stresses his office has been stymied when trying to get answers.
Marin plans to complete his investigation in nine months.
