One person is dead as a result of a single vehicle incident on Highway 17 east of Kenora.
The incident took place 20 kilometers west of Vermillion Bay around 6:30 this morning.
The OPP say the driver of a tractor trailer unit was pronounced dead at the scene, while a passenger was taken by ambulance to hospital.
The incident closed the Trans-Canada down for a couple of hours this morning but currently, one lane of traffic is open.
The OPP’s Technical Traffic Unit is currently looking into the cause of the incident.
