Provincial Police have released details of Sunday’s fatal collision on Highway 17 between Dryden and Vermilion Bay.
OPP say an eastbound transport struck another tractor trailer unit that was parked on the shoulder of the eastbound lane.
The driver of the vehicle in motion was pronounced dead at the scene.
He has been identified as 31 year old Alexei Plevak of Woodstock, Ontario.
The driver and passenger of the parked transport were not injured.
The crash occurred around 6 in the morning and closed the Trans-Canada for more than 9 hours.
Police continue to investigate.
