One Man Killed In Collision East Of Ignace

A Thunder Bay man was killed in a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision on Sunday around 5pm.
Ignace O.P.P and the Ignace Fire Department responded to the incident about 10km east of Ignace on Highway 17.
The collision involved a westbound Ford F350 pickup truck that travelled into the eastbound lane and hit a 2007 Pontiac G6.
The 32-year-old driver of the eastbound Pontiac was killed, and a 2-year-old daughter has been transported to Winnipeg.
The name of the deceased cannot be revealed until next of kin has been notified.
The 69-year-old driver of the westbound pickup and a 17-year-old passenger were taken to Dryden hospital.
The highway was closed for a period of time, and was reopened shortly after midnight.
