One New Case Of COVID-19 In The Region

The Northwestern Health Unit now has three active cases of COVID-19 in the region heading into the weekend.

Health Officials report one new case in the Rainy River District Friday.

Another active case is also in the Rainy River District with the other in the Sioux Lookout area.

In the Thunder Bay District, there’s one new case bringing their active count to two.

Ontario is reporting 496 new cases of the virus, 334 of which are from unvaccinated individuals or those with an unknown vaccine status.

Currently, 87.3 per cent of Ontarians have at least one dose of the vaccine while 82.8 per cent are fully vaccinated.
