One Person Dead In Highway 105 Crash

One person is dead following a single vehicle crash on Highway 105, south of Ear Falls.

The collision was reported just before 4:00 Wednesday afternoon north of Chicago Point Road.

Provincial Police say a southbound van left the road and struck several trees.

Off-duty Northwest Emergency Medical Services arrived on scene shortly after the crash but the lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Ear Falls Fire also attended the scene.

The cause is under investigation and the identity of the deceased is being withheld until notification of next-of-kin has been completed.

The highway was closed for several hours as a result of the crash.
