Ontario Clean Air Alliance Focuses on Atikokan

Not everyone is lobbying the Province to keep the Atikokan Coal-fired
plant running.
The Ontario Clean Air Alliance says forests, lakes, and rivers are
all at risk if the station stay’s open.
Jack Gibbons says the Atikokan and Thunder Bay sites also pose major
health threats.
Gibbons adds the station is a major contributor to acid rain and
climate change and is the largest source of airborne mercury in Northwestern Ontario.
