Ontario Jobless Rate Decreases

Continued improvement to the job numbers in Ontario.

Statistics Canada says employment rose by 151-thousand in July.

The employment level is now almost 92% of what it was in February prior to the pandemic.

Almost all of the gains, though, were nearly all in part-time work.

The number of people who worked fewer hours because of COVID-19 was also down to 10.9 per cent from 14 per cent the month before.
