Kathleen Wynne says Ontario’s Liberals are making every dollar count.
The premier touched briefly on the sale of provincial assets during her speech at the party’s annual general meeting in southern Ontario this afternoon.
Wynne says balancing Ontario’s economic recovery with ensuring new revenue doesn’t come from higher taxes, has been fragile.
She says her government saw that they needed to optimize the value of our current assets, and when the time came to make a decision about Hydro One, they didn’t want to do “nothing.”
Wynne received 95 per cent support from delegates at the AGM. (File photo)
