Ontario NDP Out With Election Platform

Provincial NDP leader Andrea Horwath has laid out her party’s election platform.

It includes drug and dental coverage for everyone, free child care for those earning less than $40,000, and a 30% cut on hydro bills.

Horwath is also pledging to build 65,000 new homes for low income earners and adding 40,000 long-term care beds.

She calls her plan a “change for the better”.

Horwath says the party’s platform will make life better for everyone in Ontario.

She is vowing to move the province forward.

Horwath says to pay for her promises, there will be higher corporate taxes, a closing of tax loopholes and a $3.3-billion deficit for the next five years. (File Photo)
