Ontario Not Looking At Closing Border With Manitoba

Despite some rumours, the Ontario/Manitoba boundary is not expected to close anytime soon due to the coronavirus.

However, Premier Doug Ford recommends staying at home and inside Ontario.

With grocery stores and other outlets filling up as of late, Ford stresses the importance of limiting travel and social distancing and staying away to help protect the health of others.

Ford says closing the border is not on the table right now but stresses he’s prepared to do anything to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau mentioned Thursday the federal government is keeping all options on the table including possibly closing provincial borders, but did not say if that is something they were going to do anytime soon.
