Ontario Works Decision

An Ontario Works Sub-Committee has decided to not change a thing in the region.
Numerous proposals to take over related programs have been submitted the past 2 years.
Chair Geoff McClain says they are recommending that the Kenora District Services Board maintain the status quo and have a presence in each community despite the higher cost.
The KDSB will meet with municipalities in October to discuss the issue.
