A reminder that open air burning is suspended until November first.
Reagan Breeze of the Dryden Fire Service says they have received several calls about outdoor burning which usually leads to nuisance grass fires.
Breeze says burning lawns, fields and piled organic debris is banned.
He adds any fire must be contained in a certified incinerator and be for cooking or heating purposes only.
The guidelines went into effect on April 1st.
Fines for violations can reach $5,000.
