OPP across Northwestern Ontario will be on the lookout for unsafe and aggressive commercial vehicle drivers the next 24-hours.
Police and the Ministry of Transportation have launched ‘Operation Corridor’.
The initiative will be focused on Highway 17.
Acting Traffic Manager for the Northwest Region Brent Anderson says even though Commercial carriers are among the safest drivers on the Highway, an average of 50-charges are laid for various infractions during the 24-hour blitz.
