The man wanted in connection to a disturbing sexual assault case in Nova Scotia is believed to have been found dead in the Geraldton area.
Provincial Police say they found the body about 250-metres away from an abandoned vehicle around 7:30 last night.
The vehicle was parked on a logging road just off Highway 11.
OPP say while the body hasn’t been positively identified, police believe it is that of 31-year-old Wayne Cunningham.
Details of an autopsy aren’t yet confirmed, but foul play isn’t suspected.
Cunningham was the subject of a nation-wide manhunt.
Cunningham was facing charges of sexual assault and forcible confinement after a 16-year-old boy alleged he was held captive by two men at a home last month.
His partner, 47-year-old David Leblanc remains in hospital under police custody until a doctor clears him to fly back to Nova Scotia.
