The OPP are confirming what many already suspected.
The human remains found in the Lake of the Woods in downtown Kenora are those of missing 16 year old Delaine Copenace.
The body was found by city workers this morning.
Constable Ronni Grosenick says it’s still to early for them to say what caused her death.
Copenace disappeared February 28th and has been the subject of both civilian and police searches.
Friends and community members have been gathering at Knox United Church this afternoon after the family was officially notified.
