Thunder Bay is seeing more and more stunt driving on the

streets of their city.

The Northwest Region of the Highway Safety Devision of

the OPP says drivers continue to drive at illegal fast

speeds.

OPP stopped a speeding motorist driving a Mazda Portege

on Highway 11/17 near the Oliver Road Intersection.

The 18 year old driver was going 142 km/hr in a posted

90 km/hr zone.

The speeder’s licence was suspended for 7 days, and his

car is impounded for a week.

If the 18 year old is found guilty, he could be fined up

to 10 thousand dollars.

This is the 3rd young driver in less than 2 week that

has been charged with stunt driving.
