OPP Crackdown

OPP say a rise in traffic fatalities is prompting a crackdown on irresponsible drivers.
Police say traffic fatalities are up this year on roads patrolled by the provincial force, after dramatic drops in the prior two years.
Officers will be on the lookout for what police call irresponsible drivers who demonstrate the “big three” risk factors; aggressive driving, impaired driving and failing to use seatbelts and car seats.
There have been 163-reported deaths this year on roads patrolled by the provincial police, up from 154 in the same period of 2009.
