Slow down.
That is the message from the Ontario Provincial Police as cold weather settles in across northwestern Ontario.
Constable Anne McCoy says motorists need to adjust their speed to the road conditions.
McCoy says extra blankets, a shovel, flashlight and food are some of the things you should bring along during a long trip.
She says it’s also good to keep the gas tanks topped and no less than half full.
