OPP find meth in Dryden traffic stop; 2 arrested

Two Dryden residents are facing charges after a traffic stop on Government Street last week, where officers found methamphetamine after a search of the vehicle.

The OPP say the stop took place on February 24 at roughly 2 p.m. and two people were arrested.

As a result of their investigation, a 43-year-old from Dryden was charged with:

– Possession of Schedule I Substance – methamphetamine,

The accused was released from custody ahead of a court appearance in early March.

A 40-year-old from Dryden is also facing charges of:

– Failing to Comply with Conditions of Release x 2,

The accused is being held in custody, with a court case later today.

The OPP adds that anyone with information on the trafficking of drugs in the region is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
