A busy early Thursday morning for Provincial Police in the Dryden area.
Officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 17 east of Dryden, however the driver took off at a high rate of speed.
In the interest of public safety, police did not pursue the vehicle.
Officers located the suspect vehicle and suspect around 6:45 a.m. on Highway 72.
OPP say the investigation is ongoing and there is no threat to public safety at this time.
Highway 72 was closed briefly as a result of the incident but the road has since reopened.
