OPP Lay 121 Charges In Dryden/Ignace

Provincial Police in Dryden and Ignace were kept busy last week.

Constable Brittany Bembeneck says officers received 375 calls for service between May 23 and 29.

OPP laid 121 charges under the Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code.

Calls included:

-RIDE: 7
-E-Ticket: 113
-Alarm: 7
-Assault: 6
-Bail Violations: 2
-Impaired: 1
-Domestic Occurrences: 3
-Mental Health Act: 7
-Family Dispute: 3
-Trouble with Youth: 4
-Theft: 6
-Motor Vehicle Collision: 12
-Police Assistance: 8
-Traffic Compliant: 28

Meantime, the OPP is urging motorists to use caution when travelling as more people are out on the road right now across the region.
