OPP lay stunt driving charges

A serious case of speeding between Dryden and Vermilion Bay.

The OPP say they were conducting traffic enforcement along Highway 17 near Oxdrift when they clocked a pick-up truck going 167 kilometers per hour.

That’s 77 kilometers an hour above the posted speed limit in that area.

Police say the driver was travelling from Alberta to Toronto with his family in the truck.

He has been charged with stunt driving, had his licence suspended for 30 days and his vehicle impounded for 14 days.
